About Yeladim Educational Programs
The “Yeladim” Association was established to perpetuate the memory of the million and a half children who were killed during the Holocaust. It is dedicated to strengthening the Jewish education of the Diaspora youth as a means to achieve this goal.
The special programs that are run are all designed to instill:
- A strong sense of Jewish Identity
- A dedication to work towards Jewish continuity
- A sense of communal and familial responsibility
- A commitment to help strengthen, both physically and spiritually, the State of Israel.
New programs and projects of “Yeladim” include:
- Taglit-birthright israel - birthright israel believes that it is every Jewish person's birthright to visit Israel and provides a gift of first time trips to Israel for Jewish young adults ages 18 to 26. Yeladim has taken these trips to new heights, adding an enhanced exploration of the participants' Jewish identity, as well as real encounters with young Israelis.
- Netivot High School in Israel - An extended 6-10 week program of study and travel tailor-made for Jewish high school groups.
- Solidarity - Brief visits to Israel to gain insight into the current situation, demonstrate unity, and explore ways to strengthen commitment to Israel and aliya.
- Netivot 8 - A short program in Israel for eighth graders in Jewish schools.
- Mitnadvim - A two week program combining intense periods of volunteering in a variety of settings with touring, meeting Israelis, and special seminars.
- Le'eylah Ule'eylah - A ten day winter break visit for high school juniors and seniors to expose them to Israel's post-high school Torah study opportunities.

Our main objective in every program that we initiate is to combine a rewarding, fun, memorable experience with solid educational content. Our desire is that the returning student be qualitatively different than he/she was when they first arrived on the program. Together with a stunning photograph album, we wish them to take back with them a good amount of knowledge about Israel , her history and language, Judaism and her beliefs and a strong commitment to an actively Jewish future.
