Group Pilot Trips
“Thank you so much for filling in the gap between a Shaliach’s assistance with paperwork, and NBN’s assistance to someone after they’ve made aliya. This is a wonderful program.”

HOUSING
Finding the appropriate community is one of the greatest and most important challenges of Aliyah. One must decide whether to pursue direct absorption into a community or to utilize the absorption centers as a stepping-stone. When deciding on a community, one must consider the social surroundings, religious life, educational facilities location and real estate costs. Needless to say, this appears to be a daunting task. The Tehilla pilot trip is designed to help participants find answers to these questions. An intensive itinerary is designed with visits to contemporary housing developments, new and more established communities, absorption centers and Yishuvim.
The group meets with local families in each community, and receives detailed information on the available educational systems and real estate opportunities. Participants may request to visit specific communities on their application form. Tehilla will make an effort to integrate as many sites as possible into the program. Trip itineraries require detailed and complex coordination with many volunteers and professionals. We highly recommend that participants stay for a few days beyond the group pilot trip to follow-up on information obtained during the trip.
“This was a very informative tour. We learned a lot. Our heads and hearts were filled. We made friends and gained memories. We hope to be back for good before long.”

EMPLOYMENT
Tehilla enjoys a remarkable success rate in helping Olim find suitable jobs. Through an extensive network and a dedicated research team, Tehilla sets up professional contacts for each Pilot Trip participant. These contacts provide the Oleh with detailed first hand information about their profession, their earning potential, and other contacts to pursue. Some contacts may explore more specific employment opportunities, however many Israeli employers are reluctant to engage in serious commitment before Aliyah. These contacts are the first step, though a successful contact can be a cornerstone for future employment. The potential Oleh is advised to follow-up on second contacts as his/her Aliyah date approaches. Continuously updating us of future meetings will help us assist you in final job placement.
Each participant receives a personal briefing at the beginning of the trip to review his/her contacts, which are pre-arranged and integrated into the overall schedule of the trip. Contact lists are not provided prior to the onset of the trip. A proper briefing will be provided prior to the meetings providing background information on the contacts and their companies. The participant is responsible for transportation to and from individual appointments, and is expected to abide by the pre-arranged schedule. Participants who wish to follow up on personal contacts can forward their contact names to Tehilla prior to the trip; Tehilla will make every effort to integrate all contacts into the schedule.
“You were fantastic and we really feel this was a worthwhile trip, and the best way to find a community in Israel.”

ALIYAH INFORMATION
A series of informative lectures are integrated into the pilot trip program. Experts on a wide variety of fields are invited to meet with the group and share their knowledge and experience. Topics such as banking, education, housing, insurance and Oleh benefits are reviewed and discussed as they apply to each participant's unique needs. Group discussion facilitates this exceptional learning process.
EDUCATION
Schooling options are reviewed as an integral part of the visits to the communities. The Tehilla staff will consult individually with participants who request assistance in locating appropriate educational institutions for their children. Special arrangements can be made for scheduled meetings at prospective schools following the pilot trip.
